I know it's been a little quiet on the johnnybroadway.com front, but rest assured, there's lots happening behind the scenes. I've taken some time off playing live while focusing on completing a few projects I've had underway for some time, namely:
- 'Paper Ship' EP (4 songs)
- 'Room 213' LP (12 songs)
- Everything that goes on behind the scenes for a CD release (x2)
- Reinventing the JB live experience
- Writing/experimenting
2009 has been a great year for me creatively and in general, and I'm looking forward to so many things to come in 2010. I hope it has been as great a year for all of you, and that you all look forward to enjoying a prosperous, healthy, and happy 2010.
While I'm not playing any official shows, I do plan on hitting the occasional open mic night around town, the first of which in 2010 will be at the Academy on Tuesday, January 5th. Come out and hear some of the new songs I've been working on!
And lastly, I can finally say that the upcoming 'Paper Ship' EP is now ready for production. You can see the album cover art, created by my incredibly talented friend and collaborator, Rachael Hosein, here:
The EP will be available later this spring in both physical and digital form, with the previously mentioned 'Room 213' album to follow shortly after that.
